Thomas Dillard Gary, MD Thomas Dillard Gary, is a graduate from West Georgia College with a degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Prior to attending medical school, he worked as a formulary chemist for Associated Rubber Company. He then attended Mercer University School of Medicine where he achieved his medical degree. Following medical school, he completed residency at the Spartanburg Center for Family Medicine at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in South Carolina. Dr. Tommy Gary has been awarded the Obstetrics Award at SRHS, as well as “Best Research” for a study that he and his wife partnered about hypertension control. Dr. Tommy Gary’s professional interests include prenatal care, obstetrics, diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia. Dr. Tommy Gary is the proud father of two sons, Thomas Dillard Gary Jr. and Benjamin James Gary. During his free time, he can be found playing with his sons, fishing, or gardening. He is an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs as well as the Atlanta Braves. Crystal Bailey Gary, M.D. Crystal Bailey Gary is a native of Young Harris, Georgia and grew up in Union County. She attended Young Harris College, earning her Associate of Science Degree. She then transferred to North Georgia College and State University where she graduated Suma Cum Laude, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in both physics and biology. Following undergraduate training, she attended Mercer University School of Medicine. During this time she was awarded the family medicine Service of Man award, and the Pediatric Medical Student Award of her graduating class. The Georgia Rural Health Association also awarded Dr. Crystal Gary “Best Research Paper in Georgia” for the student level in 2003. Following medical school, Dr. Crystal Gary completed residency at Spartanburg Center for Family Medicine at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. Dr. Crystal Gary was awarded with “Best Research” for a study of hypertension control that she and her husband performed. She was also awarded “Excellence in Pediatrics” while at Spartanburg Regional. Dr. Crystal Gary’s professional interests include prenatal care, newborn care, pediatrics, preventative medicine, and women’s health. Dr. Crystal Gary is the proud mother of two sons, Thomas Dillard Gary Jr. and Benjamin James Gary. Her personal interests include cooking, playing guitar, reading, gardening, and exploring the north Georgia mountains. David Zollinger, Physician Assistant The office of North Georgia Family Medicine in Blairsville, Georgia is very excited to announce the addition of certified physician assistant David Zollinger to their staff. Zollinger is an alumnus of the University of Florida where he obtained his Bachelors of Science in Medicine with High Honors in 1998. Though he is a native of California, he and his family comprised of his wife and two daughters, have resided in Blairsville since 2003. Zollinger brings over 12 years of experience to NGFM with a history ranging from emergency room care to general practice and surgery. Prior to his training as a physician assistant, Zollinger worked as both a firefighter and emergency medical technician. This wide field of knowledge is an asset to the services that NGFM already provides including same day sick appointments, flu shots, urgent care, routine physicals, management of chronic illness, Obagi skin care, joint injections, and basic skin procedures. David is an excellent healthcare provider- he is incredibly intelligent with a wonderful bedside manner. NGFM is very blessed to have him as part of our healthcare team.
